Nedra Krider ’31 passed away February 16, 2013. Nedra taught for Churubusco schools before owning Krider Funeral Home in Churubusco with her husband, Jerome. She is survived by son, Rick; daughter, Jera; grandchildren, Jathni, Jared, Jaasiel, Laurie, and Mark; and 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by Jerome. Nedra lived in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Hilda Becker Meyer ’34 passed away July 4. She was one hundred years old and had been retired from teaching for forty years. She is survived by daughters Marydee Meyer ’66 and Margaret Meyer ’69. She lived in Corydon, Ind.
Mary R. Fowler ’38 died September 22. She taught high school and middle school vocal music and English in Indianapolis. She retired in 1979 as assistant dean of girls at Warren Central High School. Survivors include sons, David, Milton, and Wendell; sister, Anna Faye Dawson ’37; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She lived in Ogallala, Neb.
James Monson ’46 died July 21. He was a WWII Army Infantry veteran and the founder and pastor of Faith Assembly of God in Beech Grove, Ind. He is survived by wife, Doris; son, James; daughter, Joyce Russell; grandsons, Craig and Mark; and several great-grandchildren. He lived in Bonita Springs, Fla.

Ralph Brown ’53 died October 5. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and retired from Southport High School. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosemary, and his brother, Ray. He lived in Winter Haven, Fla.
Gene E. Dietz ’53 died September 21. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, and worked at Kennedy Tank and Manufacturing, retiring in 2000. He is survived by wife, Kathleen Beck Dietz; daughter, Diane Dietz-Ebbert ’83; and grandchildren, Kelsey and Jeff Ebbert. He lived in Indianapolis.

Charles “Eddie” Taylor ’60 died October 4. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Eddie is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughters, Cynthia L. Kleyn ’82 and Kathy Rusler; son-in-law, Daniel Kleyn ’83, sister, Joyce Jackson; and grand-children, Annette, Julia, Jordan, Taylor, and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna, and sister, Ruthie Allen. He lived in Indianapolis.
Elzie Eugene Austin ’61 passed away in September 23. He received a degree in education from Indiana Central College and was vice principal of Harry E. Wood High School and principal of Manual High School from 1978 to 1993. He was honored in 1980 by President Bush and the Department of Education for leadership in education and a drug-free school program. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Austin ’80. He is survived by three sons, Burt, Gene, and Bart Austin ’81; and grandchildren, Ashley, Aaron, Brooke, Jaida, Nicole, and Blake. He lived in Indianapolis.
Frances Katz ’62 died September 7. She is survived by her husband, Allan; her son, Andrew; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara; brother-in-law, James Johnson; her nephews, Jeffrey and Jesse Ziegler; and David and Larry Katz and their families. She retired from American Maize, and then served as president of Superior Intelligence Publications, director of publications for the American Society of Agronomy, and director of publications for the Institute of Food Technologists. She lived in Crown Point, Ind.
Benjamin O. Keutzer ’62 died on August 23. He served in the U.S. Navy as a medic in the Korean War. He became an FBI agent, with cases including the JFK assassination and civil rights violations by the KKK. He is survived by wife, Marion; daughter, Debra; sons, Kevin, Brian, and Tim; stepson John; stepdaughter, Jayne; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He lived in Bloomington, Ind.
Juanita Jones ’63 passed away November 11, 2011. Survivors include children, Devin and Melanie Eppink; siblings, Don Dickinson, Margaret Redinger, and Bill Dickinson; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Bryce, and grand-daughter, Brittany. She lived in Indianapolis.

He retired from Eli Lilly & Company as a chemical microbiologist.
