Michael Larson ’91, president of Kodiak Firing Range & Training Facility Inc., has announced the opening of a new location in South Bend, Ind. Kodiak specializes in firearms and self-defense training for the general public, law enforcement, and the military. He lives in Bremen, Ind.

Kecia Sell Erickson ’92 passed away July 18. Survivors include her husband, Tony; sons, Kaeden and Jordan; parents, Sue and Bob; and brothers, Brent and Chad. She lived in Plymouth, Minn.

Clarence and Pauline Caudle Todd ’93 celebrated their 50th anniversary on August 20. The couple lives in Indianapolis.

Lori Richardson McDaniel ’97 died July 8. Survivors include her husband, Tim; sister, Allison; son, Steven; mother-in-law; Rita, sisters-in-law; Brenda and Deana; brother-in-law; Mike; and three nieces, one nephew, and two great-nephews. Lori was a nurse at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital. She worked 12 years in the postpartum unit and two years in the continuing care nursery unit. She lived in Indianapolis.

Elizabeth Kate was born to Richard and Kelli Carr Silcox ’97 ’98 on September 30, 2008. She was welcomed home by her sisters, Grace Abigail and Lauren Ruth. The family lives in Knightstown, Ind.

A son, Owen, was born to Brian and Krista Soltes Cribbs ’98 ’00 on June 12. The family lives in Eudora, Kans.

Charles Andrew was born to Jennifer and Andy Kocher ’98 on August 19. The Kochers live in Indianapolis.

Kara Vivienne was born to Jennifer and Jerry Padgett ’98 on July 27. She joins her brother, Lucas Benjamin, at their home in Brownsburg, Ind.


Mary Anne was born to Nathan Larson ’00 ’02 ’05 and Laura Amos Larson ’99 ’01 on June 15. Nathan is a clinical psychologist at Children’s Resource Group in Indianapolis. The family lives in Indianapolis.

Danny Struck ’99 was named the regional Coach of the Year for USA wrestling and national Coach of the Year for USA wrestling at Fargo, N.D. He lives in Jeffersonville, Ind.

Ethan Andrew was born to Wyatt and Kristy Kay Baker Showley ’03 ’06 on May 22. The family lives in Knox, Ind.

Brandon Cook ’03 ’06 is partner in the tax services group at Green-walt CPAs Inc. in Indianapolis. He is also a member of the firm’s construction services group and director of recruiting. He lives in Indianapolis.

Tania Valverde Beckman ’03 is a subcontractor at K. Parks Consulting, Inc. She lives in Silver Spring, Md.

Aidan Scott was born to Jimmy ’03 and Amy Tipsword Carson ’03 on August 23. He is welcomed by his brothers, James, Keegan, and Gavin. The family lives in Westfield, Ind.

Gregory Charles Robert Bruner ’04 is the rector at Archangel Michael Orthodox Church in Burbank, Ill. He also lives in Burbank.

Megan Grunert ’04 is an assistant professor of chemistry and science at Western Michigan University and the Mallinson Institute for Science Education. She lives in Ames, Iowa.

Cory Young ’05 is the assistant track and field coach at the University of Kentucky, and his wife, Elizabeth Wendlinger Young ’06, works in the Chandler Hospital Emergency Room at the University of Kentucky. The couple lives in Lexington, Ky.

Matthew Grant ’07 ’08 is a medical psychologist with a new practice, NorthStar Psychological & Consultation Services in Indianapolis. He lives in Indianapolis.

Michael Solari ’07 is the director of legislative services and equity partner at Short Strategy in Indianapolis and serves on the UIndy Alumni Board of Directors. He lives in Zionsville, Ind.

Kolton Eric was born to Keith & Megan Shelton Utter ’07 on March 26, 2010. The family lives in Indianapolis.

Elizabeth Castrale ’08 ’10 and Drew Johnson ’08 were married on August 6. The couple lives in Mesa, Ariz.

Lauren Nale ’08 ’09 and Ryan Koger ’09 were married on April 30. They live in Indianapolis.

Barbara Cunningham ’08 died August 20. She was a registered nurse clinical educator for the bone marrow transplant unit at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.  A member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, she was an adjunct professor for the School of Nursing at UIndy. Previously she was a science teacher for the Indianapolis Public Schools, Monrovia Schools, Franklin Township Schools, and Noblesville Schools. She was also the cofounder of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Book Club Support Group. Survivors include her parents; sister, Debbie; brothers, Ronald and Steven; companion, Kathleen; nephews, Michael, Matthew, and Patrick; niece, Elizabeth; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She lived in Indianapolis.

Monaliz Amirkhanpour ’09 received a master’s in business administration, with a concentration in information systems, with distinction from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, in June. She lives in Nicosia.

Elizabeth Coleman Sellers ’09 married Dustin Sellers on September 25. They live in Indianapolis.

Courtney St. John ’09 is an executive assistant at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce in Shelbyville, Ind. She resides in Manilla, Ind.

Carol Brown ’10 and J. P. Sinclair ’11 were married on September 24. The wedding party included Kevin Scott, Susie Robbins ’10, Joey Myles ’09, Brittany Jacobs, and John Pfeiffer ’10. The couple lives in Indianapolis.

Julia Spangler ’10 is the graphic and web designer for Baldwin and Lyons in Indianapolis. She lives in Indianapolis.
