UIndy’s Homecoming ’11 fell on a flawless fall day on the first weekend of October, and it was all a fan could hope for. The Key Stadium parking lot was a tailgater’s delight, with tons of food and games. The Greyhound football team made a dramatic entrance into the stadium, led through a cloud of smoke onto Kiesel Field by a guy on a Harley. The stands were packed with 5,000 students, alumni, family, and friends. Halftime included the growing tradition of golf carts decorated as floats, and the old tradition of the Homecoming king and queen and their court. And to top it all off, a 45-28 victory over visiting Findlay. It’s always the perfect way to welcome fall! Don’t miss the 2012 edition!
