Women’s golf team GPA: #1 in nation

Sarah Prascsak, Lyndsay McBride, Darin Pinnick, Allison Tyler, and Megan Kiley

The 2009–10 UIndy women’s golf team capped a great season on the course by being recognized for its effort in the classroom. With a combined 3.752 grade point average on a 4-point scale, the squad earned the National Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team GPA Award by compiling the highest team GPA across all NCAA divisions.
This year marks the fifth straight season UIndy has appeared on the list, with four of those five featuring top-10 showings. Five of UIndy’s eight team members earned All-American Scholar Team nods from the NGCA earlier this month.

In addition to their academic accolades, the 2009–10 Greyhounds captured a second consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference title in April, good for a league-high fifth overall. They also earned a second straight appearance in the NCAA D-II Championships, finishing ninth among Division II’s best.
