Fall 2019: College of Applied Behavioral Sciences
Dr. Katie Boucher, assistant professor of psychology, received a Raikes Grant ($45,795) to support the Student Experience Project, a three-year initiative involving a research practice partnership with schools in the Urban Serving Universities network to develop and test tools to improve student outcomes in gateway STEM courses. The work is being conducted in collaboration with the College Transition Collaborative, the Project for Education Research that Scales, Education Counsel, and the Coalition of Urban Serving Universities.
Dr. Erin Fekete, associate professor of psychology and director of psychological sciences, was selected to participate in the year-long Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology sponsored by the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Kendra Thomas, assistant professor of psychology, was co-applicant for a grant of $234,000 conferred by the Templeton World Charity Foundation to establish and assess positive peer relationship intervention in 60 schools in Southern Brazil, effective March 2019–2021.
