Megan Matthews ’14 and Tim Mosier ’14 were married on August 9. The wedding party included Rachel Nielsen ’14 (maid of honor), Carlee Green ’14 (bridesmaid), Hannah Duncan ’14 (bridesmaid); Bryan Sullivan ’13 (groomsman), Phil Hassman ’13 (best man), Ryan Matthews ’12 (groomsman). Tim is the son of Nancy Mosier ’81. Tim is an accountant in the federal tax department at KPMG in Indianapolis. Megan is a full-time Master of Occupational Therapy student at UIndy, class of 2015. They live in Indianapolis.
Kimberly Minner ’14 accepted a new position at the Children’s Bureau as Father Engagement Case Manager for Region 9 & 10, Marion and Morgan Counties. She lives in Camby, Ind.
Dr. Debra L. Gray ’13 PT, DHSc, DPT, MEd, manager of Flexible Doctor of Physical Therapy programs at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, received an Outstanding Service Award from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, the organization that administers the national physical therapy licensure examinations. She is an adjunct faculty member and lives in Jacksonville, Fla.
Bryce Givens ’13 a two-time national qualifier for the UIndy wrestling team, passed away November 18. He will be remembered for his humor and positive attitude, and has been memorialized by the UIndy wrestling team with an inspirational photo that hangs in the UIndy wrestling room, as well as one at Givens’s high school. He was employed as a customer service representative by Apac Inc., and as a wrestling coach for two years with Hononegah High School. Bryce leaves his loving parents, Stevie and Virginia; brother, Tyler Givens; maternal grandmother, Lucille Jones; paternal grandparents, Ceotias and Thelma Givens; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends, including his girlfriend, Kaitlynn Marie Paul. Pamela Ann Rissler Mason ’92 passed away December 24. She had worked in nursing for the past 20 years, retiring in March 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Brandi; son, Michael; sister, Debbie Rissler-Baker; brother, Charlie “Mike” Rissler; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nolan and Brady; seven first cousins, and many in-laws, friends, and former patients. She lived in Venice, Fla.

Janice E. Murphy ’86 passed away November 23. Janice is survived by six children, David, Mike, Jim, Gina Miller, Janella Pryor, and Tim; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mima Fornear; husband, Troy; and two brothers, James and Jack Fornear. She lived in Indianapolis.
Dr. Brandt Dodson ’84 will serve as writer-in-residence at Taylor University in Upland, Ind., during the spring semester of the 2014–15 school year. Dr. Dodson is an often-published novelist, short story writer, and playwright. He will be teaching “Writing the Thriller.” A frequent lecturer of creative writing at conferences around the country, he lives in Newburgh, Ind.

Charles A. Blake ’81 passed away November 13. He was a teacher at Whiteland Community High School from 1981 until 1995, where he also worked as a cross-country and track coach. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children, Brent M. Sisson, Ginnie York, and Bradley Sisson; sister, Mary Shelley; brother, Richard; five grandchildren; a niece and two nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Ann and his parents. He lived in Greenwood, Ind.
William R. Valentine (former trustee, HD 1980) passed away on February 20. After high school, Bill was ordained an elder in the Methodist Church in 1954. He served congregations in Wakefield and East Longmeadow, Mass., and in Franklin, Speedway, and Frankfort, Ind. He also served as district superintendent of the Indianapolis Southeast District of the United Methodist Church. He received an honorary doctorate in 1980 from UIndy. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mona; his sister, Janet; and grandson, Paul. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Anne; his son, Russell; his daughter, Linda Valentine Bryant ’80; grandchildren Matthew, Rachel, and Daniel ’10; and two great-grandchildren.
