The University has embarked on its most comprehensive advertising campaign to date, employing television, radio, print, digital, and billboards, and it is putting alumni front and center, illustrating how a UIndy education provides the foundation for a life of purpose. The theme of the campaign is “Inspired. For the rest of your life.”
“A university’s value is measured by the success of its alumni, so what better way to illustrate UIndy’s quality than to showcase our own successful graduates,” explains Mary Wade Atteberry ’07, executive director of communications and marketing. “An education here is so much more than career preparation,” she says. “The liberal arts grounding, excellent academic programs, and emphasis on service prepare knowledgeable, problem-solving graduates who have a desire to make a difference in their communities and often take a leadership role.”
The campaign was launched on television in mid-October featuring three faces of UIndy:
Jerry Throgmartin ’78, executive chairman of H. H. Gregg; Dennis Reinbold ’83, co-owner of Dreyer & Reinbold Racing; and Kelly Campbell ’06, cofounder of the Village Experience fair-trade-and-travel business.
The 30-second TV spots debuted during prime-time Central Indiana news shows. Print, radio, billboard, and digital advertising joined the mix in November and December. The same ads will appear during a second publicity wave from late February through spring. To see the 30-second television spots, visit http://www.uindy.edu/about-uindy/inspired.
